Throughout the years I’ve had an array of eclectic areas of study that have sparked my interest from Studio Arts through to Archaeology. This has led to an interesting background, however, also to the realisation that I’m at my best when I work in direct contact with people. It’s in a client centric atmosphere that I shine.
Because of this interest in different areas of study growing up my career path wasn’t clearly marked out so I remained open to new experiences and what life truly has to offer. This mindset then led to my previous role at OnePath / ANZ which allowed me to establish a career path. Working with Financial Advisers has allowed me to build relationships and strengthen these over the years.
Being able to train and show financial advisers a different perspective when looking at situations is something I felt that added value to their OnePath / ANZ experience. Seeing the businesses of my panel of advisers grow, and being able to have a direct impact in that process, is something that I found truly gratifying.
I believe in enjoying and making the most of everything that you do. Trying your best and being honest with yourself when you feel that you could do better. All the while doing it with a smile on your face and having fun!
I have broad experience in the financial services industry, having worked in a number of blue chip companies over the last 28 years. Over this time I have gained valuable knowledge and insights that have enabled me to actively engage and support advisers through a series of market, industry and legislative changes.
I forged my career and experience at companies such as Colonial First State, BT Financial Group, Macquarie Bank and ANZ, where I was able to build my knowledge and expertise in the key areas of funds management, margin lending, investment bonds, mortgages and stockbroking.
I have continued to build on my vast industry knowledge and expertise across a diverse range of financial products. One of my key strengths is my ability to identify opportunities in an adviser practice and help develop business and client based strategies.
I hold a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and regularly participate in industry events.
