This is a recording of LTMA Launch Pad Session 16: Boomers and Best Interest – Moving beyond ‘comply’ to ‘live-by’:
Is the fear of failing to meet regulatory compliance driving the right outcomes when it comes to ‘acting in a clients’ best interest’?
Often in our conversations with advisers, we come across those who are struggling to deal with Best Interest Duty when it comes to providing investment advice.
But what if we were to approach our investment conversations with pre-retiree advice seekers from a completely different point of view, one where the issue of meeting Best Interest Duty completely resolves itself?
The IP team will delve into how changing the client conversation around investment preferences, values and goals, has the potential to transform the way you provide and deliver investment advice to those transitioning to and in retirement (whilst all the while, complying with Best Interest with ease).
This presentation will include a live case study – a role play between adviser (Phil) and client (Naomi).
This promises to be an intriguing and thought-provoking session for advisers, on a provocative topic. Come along and be challenged!
